Items arising:
Ø Clean Up Australia Day – P Gleen to arrange for bags to be distributed to public wharves.
Ø Pedestrian safety issue at Church Point - K Lambert reported that she had spoken to Paul Davies (transport manager at Pittwater Council). It could take two years to sort out the ownership of the road. A pedestrian refuge in the centre of the road is the most likely immediate response possible. A pedestrian crossing requires kerb & guttering. K Lambert to write to the Road Safety Office at the RTA. Letter also to the various school principals. M Vaughan mentioned that there is a Pittwater Council banner displayed on approach to Loquat Valley School – “Slow Down Children Around”. Apply to Council for banners for Church Point. Discussion of possible roster of volunteers to watch children crossing after school.
Ø Church Point Plan of Management – M Wiener to speak to Mark Ferguson re Plan for Implementing the Master Plan and discuss funding models with Bill Gye, SIRA.
Ø Bennett’s Boatshed – B Mahler-Mills to contact Shar Jones, SIRA, to discuss action.
Ø AGM Agenda items discussed.
Ø Baywatch to be composed for distribution by email two weeks before AGM.
M Morris to contact T Mottl. M Wiener & K Lambert to write reports.
New Business:
Ø K Lambert reported that the Pasadena development is applying for changes. The architect whose design was passed by the Courts is no longer on the project and the new architect has re-instated the top floor unit changing the profile of the structure plus changed the cladding material. The committee expressed concern at how these changes might be passed. K Lambert to contact SIRA to discuss.
Ø Pittwater Natural Areas PoM – submissions due. M Morris to discuss with residents on relevant committees and report back to committee asap.
Ø Draft Pittwater Estuary Management Plan – P Gleen reported that it will be released shortly.
Ø Bona Crescent Morning Bay – M Doherty reported that Council’s repairs have eroded. Letter to be written to Les Munn with photographs attached.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 5.10 pm
Next Meeting: Date to be decided by new committee after the AGM.
