Record of Committee Meeting

Saturday 20 October 2007 3pm

The meeting opened at 3.25pm. There were insufficient members to form a quorum so an informal meeting was held. M Wiener asked that a vote of thanks be noted for the people who organised the Gum Boot Social.

1. Confirmation of minutes of previous meeting

The minutes of the meeting of 15 September were accepted as a true record (with a minor amendment) (proposer: K Lambert, seconder: M Doherty).

2. Correspondence In:

2(a) Sydney Water invitation to workshop on SewerFix Program for Warriewood Valley

Action: K Lambert to contact SIRA to see if representative interested in attending workshop

3. Correspondence Out:

3(a) E-mail to Water Police re Medivac Procedures

3(b) Letter to real estate agents providing information for new residents of western foreshores

Action: Information sheet to be displayed on WPCA web-site

3(c) Letter to Pittwater Council requesting recognition of Morning Bay as approved locality name

3(d) Letter to Pittwater Council proposing to name public beach adjacent to Halls Wharf “Espa’s Beach”

4. Treasurer’s report

There was no Treasurers Report

5. Items arising from Minutes/ Review of Action Table

5(a) Public Wharves Plan of Management. The management regime set up at Mackeral Beach is being proposed as a standard to be used across Pittwater. This could create problems as the proposal may not be equally relevant to all wharves. A public stakeholders meeting will be held in November to discuss the new plan of management.

Action: M Wiener and M Doherty to attend.

6. New Business

6(a) Modifications to track in Morning and North Lovett Bay. Deferred to next meeting

6(b) Correct fire-lighting procedures. Deferred to next meeting

6(c) Recycling. Deferred to next meeting

Next Meeting

The next meeting will be held on Saturday 8 December at 3pm at Elvina Park. It was proposed that the next AGM be held on Sunday 10 February 2008 (tbc).
